The Breaking Point
The journey from trauma to triumph is often challenging yet deeply personal. My transformation began in the most unexpected way, with the end of my dream career in the Royal Navy. Following a serious traumatic incident that led to my medical discharge, I found myself lost in a maze of CPTSD, heavy medication, and a shattered sense of self. The uniform that once defined my purpose disappeared, leaving behind an overwhelming void and a daunting sense of loss.
The Spiral Downward
As the impact of trauma deepened, my life spiraled downward. I became homeless, and my children went to live with their father. The emotional pain became unbearable, culminating in a desperate moment where I attempted to take my own life. I was caught in what felt like a perpetual cycle of despair, without hope or direction, the definition of a lost cause, or so I thought.
The Wake-Up Call
It took nearly losing everything, including the chance to see my precious children grow up, to spark my awakening. That moment became my turning point. Standing at a crossroads, I realized I had two choices: remain a victim of my circumstances or fight for the life I deserved. In what felt like my lowest moment, this crucial wake-up call became the catalyst for transformation.
The Journey to Healing
With newfound determination, I threw myself into understanding the science of trauma and healing. I researched extensively how the brain works, exploring natural and holistic remedies. Yoga philosophy became my guidebook, emphasizing mindfulness and body awareness as crucial tools for recovery.
Through meditation, breathwork, and cold water therapy, I began to rebuild myself, not just mentally, but physically and spiritually. Each breakthrough felt like a victory, gradually lifting the fog of despair that had surrounded me for so long.
Gradually, the healing deepened. I reduced my medication, shifting to a more natural approach. I became a full-time mom again, rebuilding precious connections with my children. I fostered lasting friendships and rebuilt broken connections, discovering that authentic relationships are key to recovery. Each step forward proved that healing wasn't just possible, it was inevitable when you choose to do the work.
Finding My Purpose
This transformation ignited a new mission: to share these life-changing practices with others who are struggling. I became certified as a:
- Meditation coach
- Sound bath facilitator
- Spiritual life coach
- Yoga Instructor, in India's authentic routes
While my journey began with spiritual healing, I'm passionate about bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern science. I believe in taking the "woo-woo" out of wellness and focusing on evidence-based practices that create real change.
From Peace Pod to Profound Impact
In 2020, I started hosting women's circles, sound baths and 1:1s through my Peace Pod. What began as intimate 1:1 sessions grew into larger gatherings, each one creating space for profound transformation. These sessions create a unique and communal experience where participants can feel the healing power of sound and connection.
